It may well be closed until the Spring.

Please don’t attempt to go there

If it is closed.

Are slaloming on the grand motte

Enjoying yesterday’s ten centimeters of new snow

And

The fruits of the

Excellent snow farming.

First World Cup Slalom of the season

Is in Finland

On the

As part of Pink October

Breast Cancer Awareness

The pompier lit

Pink smoke bombs

On hundred of Savoie’s

And haute Savoie

mountain peaks.

I don’t have children

So am probably missing something

About this story…….

A father in Utah took his 3 children on a hike……

An adventure………

In the mountains……….

All the way to the summit of Twin Peaks ……..

Nearly 3 and a half thousand metres

Think Pisaillas glacier or Grand Motte……..

Freezing rain………..

Luckily the search and rescue crew

Found them

Early the next day………

The father is being treated for frost bite

The eldest child is out of hospital and home

The middle child is in a critical condition

And the youngest

‘stable’……….whatever that means.

This is the bit that has thrown me……

How old are the children

Eight

Four

And TWO……………….

What part of

 taking them all up that mountain

was

Reasonable rather than reckless ??

Olympics don’t come

Cheap….

But at 2.1 billion euros

Our winter Olympics

In the French Alps in 20 30

Will be the

‘cheapest’ in winter games history

Modest

As possible

And still deliver a

Spectacular  Olympics

Beneficial to the area

To sport

ALL French people…

It does include the Paralympics

Where is the money going to come from ?

Almost three quarters from the I.O.C.

Near Annecy

A thirty seven year old lady

Was stopped

After driving erratically

Her car already clearly damaged…

Drunk and high on heroin

Arguing that she was safe to drive

didn’t help

Last I heard

She was in a cosy custody cell…..

Pompiers were out and about again…

On Tuesday afternoon

This time

Mid way between Morzine to Geneva

Mountain firemen and gendarmes

Were called by some teenagers…

Their  fifty five year old caving instructor

Had slipped on clay

Fallen ten meters

And injured his leg.

All so close to the cave entrance

That they didn’t need the

Expert cave rescue team.

Took just an hour of fiddling with ropes

To get him out

And onwards to hospital.

This is the day for me…..and the doodles………

USA National colour day……..do like some bright colours in my art…….and Make a Dog’s DAY………..

No doubt the doodles will expect
